Join us
and bring the sound of the ocarina
to a bigger stage.

In the midst of a busy life,
have you ever paused because of a melody?

In a moment of ensemble playing,
you hear each other’s breath
and discover that you are more than a player:
you are part of the music.

Rubato Ocarina Art Ensemble
is opening its 2026 member recruitment.
We are looking for people ready to commit, to practise
and to bring the ocarina to the stage.

🎼 The people we hope to meet

We are looking for musical partners for the long journey ahead:

  • Aged 18 or over, living in northern Taiwan, with military service status settled

  • Able to play the ocarina; single-chamber players are welcome, with multi-chamber experience preferred

  • Able to read music; numbered notation is acceptable, with staff notation preferred

  • Available for regular rehearsals every Saturday morning at Taipei Longshan Cultural and Creative Base (台北龍山文創基地)

  • Willing to take part in the ensemble’s performances and related activities

✨ What you will be part of at Rubato

  • Regular, focused ensemble rehearsals

  • Formal concerts and a variety of performance opportunities

  • Careful work on musical detail and trust within the ensemble

  • The journey from the rehearsal room to the moment we meet our audience

If playing on your own no longer feels enough,
and you want your ocarina to be heard in an ensemble and on stage,
Rubato can be a place to take your next step.
